Stats & Reports

StatsGuy computes and caches stats automatically as you enter plays. All stats are available the moment a play is saved.

Live Box Score

While entering plays, the Box Score tab shows the live box score — team totals and individual player lines — updating after every play. Use this to confirm numbers or give a quick stat update to coaches during the game.

Time of possession is computed automatically from the game clock values recorded on each play. No manual entry is required — just keep the clock field filled in and StatsGuy tracks possession time for both teams.

Game Box Score

The full game box score includes:

  • Scoring Summary — quarter, time, team, play description, and score after each scoring play
  • Team Comparison — side-by-side for both teams: first downs, rush yards, pass yards, total yards, turnovers, penalties, time of possession, third-down conversion rate, red-zone efficiency
  • Passing — att/comp/yds/TD/INT/sacks per QB
  • Rushing — att/yds/avg/TD/long/fumbles per rusher
  • Receiving — targets/rec/yds/avg/TD/long per receiver
  • Defense — solo/ast/tot/TFL/sacks/PD/INT/FF/FR per defender
  • Special Teams — Kicking — FG results, PAT results, kickoff stats, punt stats
  • Special Teams — Returns — kick return and punt return stats
  • Drive Chart — every drive with start/end field position, plays, yards, and result

Career Stats

Career stats accumulate automatically across seasons. A player's career record is linked across seasons by their player ID. From any player profile, you can view season-by-season and career totals for all statistical categories.

Career stats are available on the Pro plan and above.

Passer Rating

Passer rating is computed using the NCAA formula by default, or the NFL formula if your league uses Pro rules:

  • NCAA: (8.4 × Yds + 330 × TD + 100 × Cmp − 200 × Int) / Att
  • NFL: Standard 0–158.3 scale using 4-factor formula

SpreeSports Broadcast Integration

If you use SpreeSports for live broadcast graphics, StatsGuy can push a live stats snapshot to SpreeSports automatically after every play. Configure the webhook URL in Settings → SpreeSports Integration.

Once connected, the StatsGuy panel inside the SpreeSports controller shows:

  • Leaders tab — passing, rushing, receiving, and special teams leaders. Click ON AIR next to any player to insert a PlayerInfo graphic with in-game and career stats.
  • Team Stats tab — live side-by-side team comparison. Click Insert Team Stats Graphic to push a StatsPage graphic.
  • Matchup tab — select a position (QB, RB, WR, K, etc.) to see a head-to-head stat comparison for that position group on both teams. Click Insert Matchup to push a HeadToHead graphic.

All graphics update from real-time play data — career stats included — with no manual data entry on the broadcast side.

Printing & Exporting

  • Print Box Score — opens a print-optimized version of the box score
  • Export to Google Sheets — one click sends the full box score to a new or existing spreadsheet. See Google Sheets docs.
  • API — pull any data in JSON format using your API key. See API Reference.
